As September comes to a close we can look back at all the things we have already accomplished with pride.
As October begins, we already have several events planned. The first being the Eye Examinations provided by Eye On Education. This free to parents and students program is intended to identify often missed eye problems in students. If you have not sent in your Consent Form and are interested, please return it on Monday. The doctor can only see students with a Consent Form.
Also this week, we begin our annual World's Finest Chocolate Sale. This is an important fundraiser as every dollar goes toward technology that will impact our students in the classroom and throughout the school. Our goals this year are to replace several Chromebooks, upgrade our auditorium sound system. The chocolate will be distributed on Thursday afternoon at dismissal. A letter with more details will be sent home and can be found here.
And the first week concludes with our First Friday Liturgy at 8:30AM Friday in the Church. All are welcome to worship with us.
At our meeting Friday, the teachers prepared for our first Parent/Teacher Conferences. Our First Quarter Conferences are intended to get out ahead of concerns as students transition back to school or join there new school. Teachers will prioritize serious concerns but will contact and every parent. If your child is doing well, teachers will make small suggestions for improvement. We will make every effort to accomodate parents' work schedules and use phone calls or video conferencing to make things more convenient.
The Student Council is organizing some fun events for our students. Ideas include a Special Dress Day for Halloween, Pumpkin Decorating and Sock Collection for Socktober! Look for more details as they become available.
As always, our Parent Association is busy with their plans. They invite you to the first meeting this Tuesday morning. Hope to see you there!
