Catholic Schools Week 2020 has come to an end. The Parent Association ended our week with a wonderful Physics assembly that got our students and teachers engaged.
The events this week offered our entire community an opportunity to celebrate the best aspect of Catholic Schools - community. And, wow, did our community ever shine!
Highlights of each of our events can be found on our Facebook Page, the various Twitter Feeds and Instagram Pages of our Faculty and Staff.
The first semester has come to an end. Our Winter/Spring enrichment classes are registering students. We are renewing our Coding Class, Kids In The Game are offering Piano and Sports, Mr. Ponce is teaching guitar and Mrs. Musso and Mrs. Hund are holding STEM Class. If you are interested, see our Links page for the Registration Forms.
The Parent Association is putting the Read-A-Thon to rest in just a few days, but they do not rest. Our next big event of the Year, The March Calendar Raffle is being prepared. This is a great event for our community. Not only does the school benefit, but 30 of our community members do as well! We will be selling tickets at the Church, at the School and at the Rectory. Good luck to everyone.
And to close this weeks newsletter, a Read-A-Thon Update.
As of 1PM this afternoon our students have read 73,700 minutes. This is over 1,228 hours; more than 51 days; and is an average of 5-plus hours per student! And together we have raised $15, 112!
Now, this part is really important. Our official end of the Read-A-Thon is tonight, Friday, January 31st at midnight. All reading logs must be finished by then. All donations must be logged in by then.
We will then know who the top readers and top earners are in each class. These students will have the opportunity to pour slime on Mr. Keenan’s head next Friday at our Special Assembly.
I will mention that the Read-A-Thon website will still be active until all donations are collected, but we will make the determination of students based on the logs as of midnight tonight.
I want to thank everyone who helped make this Catholic Schools Week so incredibly special:
The Parent Association
The Parent Volunteers

The School Staff
